English

In the English Department we aim to equip students with the skills to become independent learners and enquirers.  By working with them to analyse and appreciate a wide range of texts, both fiction and non-fiction, we will encourage and support students to apply these skills in their own writing.  After all “good readers make good writers.”

 We offer students experiences that will enhance their abilities in reading, writing, speaking and listening.  In a stimulating classroom environment students are encouraged to express themselves through a wide range of enjoyable and challenging activities.

You will learn essential life skills through your English lessons at Endeavour High School; the ability to work collaboratively and co-operatively, whilst improving your communication skills through spoken and written language.  

All of our teaching rooms are equipped with an Interactive White Board and a friendly, hardworking teacher!  We also have a quiet independent reading/ research room.
